As a board member, I would encourage the board to work with administration to establish a defined improvement cycle. One way for a school district to systematically evaluate disaggregated data and refine improvement strategies, is adopting a continuous improvement framework such as the Plan–Do–Study–Act (PDSA) cycle. This approach ensures that data analysis is tied directly to actionable changes. However, the board should be open to other proposed improvement cycles that best fit our students and community.
